We kicked off the second half of our Orlando vacation with a trip to Universal Studios (including Islands of Adventure). I didn't think we could do both theme parks in one day originally but since we are limited by what doesn't completely tramatize JC there really was only one full day of content between them. It was a pretty long and fun day though.

Universal Studios had a Woody Woodpecker themed kiddie area which had some good points besides the less than stellar caste. The biggest name is Barney who is a PBS character and was not seen or referenced outside of his special area. But his show did go over well with the kids and after the show they got to play in his special play area which was kinda cool. Including that one there were a total of three playgrounds and the two larger ones were really first rate. We had to drag the kids out of both of them.

Islands of Adventure was where JC finally found Spiderman. He's been talking this one up for the whole vacation now, this is what got him to go on the plane in the first place, the chance to meet this guy. He took one look at red and blue and... hid. Oh well. Can't say I wasn't expecting it. We did get a first rate professional shot of Melissa with the web slinger though. We then hit Suess Landing (again, doesn't seem like a Universal I.P.) where the Grinchmas celebration was in full force. This was a much beter kiddie park and we enjoyed almost all of it. There was a live playing How the Grinch stole Christmas that I couldn't get very good video or shots of. Most of the Suess themed rides were decently done though, even if they were all shorter than expected.

Well, we have covered everything I wanted to make sure we saw in this vacation. We have three full days left for gravy.
